The Cuts

Nobel Prize winning economists are speaking out against the cuts. Thousands of people are taking to the streets every week in opposition to the Coalition’s plans. And now, the majority of voters in the UK believe the cuts are too much, too fast.

Unions will defend the livelihoods of working people – over a million jobs are now predicted to be lost because of the spending review. It is up to students to join them in protecting jobs.

Who caused the recession? Not teachers. Not social workers. Not police men and women, not cleaners or council workers, or builders and train drivers. It was the speculative actions of the rich that caused this mess, and they should be the ones taking responsibility for their gambling with other people’s money.
